The courses that I took this summer (6340/6341) offered me a vast amount of new information. Before, I just new that there were many technology resources available for educators out there. Now, I have not only acquired knowledge and skills, I am constantly re-evaluating ideas as to how I can use these technology resources effectively in my classroom. I now have the responsibility to mentor fellow co-workers and make my lessons much more appealing with technology. As I continue to grow in my path to achieving a Master's Degree in Technology Education, it is my duty to collaborate with my community. After all, we need to prepare our students with 21st century skills.

So what about those who are not in the teaching fields? Well, technology is not a stranger in any profession we can think of. So, as a professional in any given career, we all have the responsibility of impacting our future generations with knowledge and skills.

Those of us who are still new in teaching often find ourselves unconsciously taking a teacher centered approach instead of the recommended learner centered approach. We often hear and read on the importance of focusing lessons that offer significant student involvement. When we take a learner centered approach we should provide motivational activities in which our students can learn from interaction with each other.
